The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) provides homes to over 65,000 households, while championing vibrant, healthy communities across the city. As a HUD-designated Moving to Work agency, CHA leverages its flexibility to forge innovative partnerships, expanding choices and opportunities for low-income families and individuals.
CHA is a municipal not-for-profit corporation, governed by a Board of Commissioners consisting of ten members. The commissioners are appointed by the Mayor.
